In the crowdfunding world an update from the Peer to Peer Finance Association confirms that crowdfunding had another strong year in 2105 in terms of money lent, and an increase in the number of private investors and borrowers.

Staying with crowdfunding, there’s positive news from Assetz Capital which has announced a significant pot of new money to lend out to SMEs and details of the launch of a new equity crowdfunding platform, GrowthDeck.

And to round-off the crowdfunding theme of this edition, a clip from a seminar in which Rob Warlow from Business Loan Services outlines the history of crowdfunding.

Posted in Business Finance Bulletin

In this last episode of the Business Finance Bulletin for 2015 Rob Warlow looks back over the key business finance news in 2015.

Rob reflects on 2015 being the year when improved business confidence took hold with more business owners than ever feeling positive about the future.

How did the High Street bank perform in 2015 when it came to supporting small businesses? Rob takes a look at the banks’ attitude towards businesses and how the year saw banks forging alliances with providers of alternative finance such as Funding Circle and Assetz Capital.

Staying with the alternative finance scene 2015 was the year which witnessed new highs and greater level of awareness amongst business owners of crowdfunding and other sources of finance.

2015 was also the year when new legislation was introduced to help businesses tackle late payment and for banks to pass on introductions to lending platforms where the bank can’t assist.

Here we are at episode 100 of the Business Finance Bulletin!

As a departure from the norm this week is all about outtakes and fails.

Yes, we’re sharing clips where things didn’t exactly go to plan; outtakes and fails which show that filming these Bulletins can sometimes be a bit frustrating!

We look back to the first episode in October 2013 and little did we think that we would reach 100 episodes but here we are and looking forward to the next 100.

Thanks for watching over the last two years and of course normal service will be resumed next week!
