In the latest Business Finance Bulletin episode Business Loan Services’ Rob Warlow looks at the news of collaboration between crowdlender Funding Knight and short-term alternative lender Just-Cashflow to assist growing businesses.

Looking at the crowdfunding industry as a whole, Rob looks at statistics from the Peer to Peer Finance Association on finance raised by its members during the first quarter of this year which reveal a continued growth surge.

Rob also looks at evidence of a steady improvement in the economy with news that the overall number of company insolvencies is on the way down according to official government statistics.

In the Business Finance Tip of the Week Rob chats with Santander’s Paul Brooks, Business Development Director, Wales about the bank’s Breakthrough Programme designed to help growing businesses with a variety of support schemes.

In the latest edition of the Business Finance Bulletin Rob Warlow looks at the findings from Close Brothers Business Barometer which reveals how reluctant some business owners are in hunting out new finance providers.

On the alternative finance scene Rob talks about Metro Bank’s 2014 results and how it’s living up to its aim of being regarded as the ‘bank for entrepreneurs’ by the range of business finance solutions it can offer.
Rob also reveals how the option to tap into the ‘crowd’ to fund expansion plans has been made easy with the news that FundingKnight has doubled the maximum amount it can arrange.

If you are a start up it is not easy to source finance but Rob looks at the news from the Start Up Loans company, the government supported loan company, on a new milestone being reached in terms of the number of loans granted.

And in the Business Finance Tip of the Week, a look at the looming Self Assessment deadline and what you can do to avoid a last minute panic!

In the crowdfunding world, news of a milestone reached by crowdlender Funding Knight and an announcement by Cambridge and Counties Bank of the opening of a new branch in the North of England.

This is a special edition of the Business Finance Bulletin which was filmed on Wednesday at the 2014 Commercial Finance Expo at the NEC Birmingham.

This annual event is hosted by the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers and attracts key lenders and commercial finance brokers from across the country.

With the alternative finance scene continually changing I had a chance to chat with the likes of Funding Knight, Lancashire Mortgage Corporation, PensionLedFunding, Pay4 and Funding Circle to find out more about how they are supporting businesses which are in need of finance.

It is good to see that the number of lenders in the market continues to grow so watch this week’s edition to hear what these lenders are up to and how they could possibly help you.
